New Writer Advice – Writing

So you want to write a book but don’t know where to start? There are many online resources available. My advice is to start with a creative writing course if you haven’t taken one before. The one I strongly recommend is Brandon Sanderson’s BYU lectures. He uploads them to YouTube every year. Here’s the link to the 2020 Lecture on Writing Science Fiction & Fantasy. Not only is he very informative, but I like his injections of humor that make it fun to listen to. Also, even if you aren’t going to write science fiction or fantasy, the things you learn in his course will help you no matter what your genre goals are.

There are also a few basic courses available on Bookbuilder. Also, a simple search of YouTube or the internet will give you numerous courses and advice to choose from.
